Indian River County School District

The School District of Indian River County offers 13 elementary schools, four middle schools and two high schools. The district also has an Alternative Center for Education and an Adult & Community Education Center. There are five charter schools as well within the district. The student teacher ratio is low, for example, at Indian River High School it is 15:1.


Private Schools in Indian River County

There are 15 private schools in the county serving approximately 1,800 students. Nearly 90 percent of these schools have a religious affiliation. The three largest are St. Edwards School (Episcopal) in Vero Beach, Masters Academy of Vero Beach, and St. Helen Catholic School in Vero Beach. ​
