For a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence with strong emphasis on academic programs, The King’s Academy makes it a priority to develop well-rounded students from K4-12th grade with particular attention to Spiritual Development, Championship Athletics, and Excellent Fine Arts.
Just in the past year, TKA has been recognized for some amazing accomplishments:
• Top 5 Nationally in Fine Arts (American High School Theater Festival)
• National Golf Champions (Antigua National HS Golf Championship)
• Undefeated Champions of the Southeastern Football Conference
• A Fifth State Cheerleading Title
In addition to the accolades above, The King’s Academy’s Honors Choir sang by special invitation in Washington DC as part of the 58th Presidential Inauguration festivities. Elementary students, recognized with a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence award in 2015 for stellar standardized test achievement, also engage in co-curricular programs that develop well-roundedness and character with visits from nationally-known authors, trips to historically significant locations, and programs to teach character from a Biblical worldview.
More importantly, students recently travelled to Nicaragua to build 6 homes for families in one of the poorest barrios in Central America. The experience was a blessing to students and faculty alike, as they lived out the Biblical mandate to “look after orphans and widows in their need.” The resources sent from the TKA community built the homes while also providing food and clothing for more than 150 students in Cristo Del Ray.
At The King’s Academy, students learn that balance is important in Academic, Artistic, and Athletic pursuits, and that Spiritual Development is a priority!
