Palm Beach County’s healthcare industry is vital to its economy, providing over 80,000 jobs in 4,800 healthcare-related businesses. Nine of the county’s state-of-the-art hospitals are recognized by The Joint Commission, an industry accreditation and inspection organization.
There are significant research institutions as well as medical, nursing and pharmacology colleges located in the county, and the public school system supports future health care providers through programs at elementary, middle and high schools that focus on health care, medical sciences and veterinary medicine.
